In 1930s Chicago, Frankenstein asks Dr. McCarthy. Euphronius to help create a companion. They give life to a murdered woman as a bride, sparking romance, police interest, and radical social change. Awards (honorary awards/lifetime achievement awards given by the same Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that awards the Oscars), comedian John Mulaney humorously told the story of how he was asked to audition for a small role in this film: “Ladies and gentlemen, you’re looking at me and thinking, ‘Oh, great.
